Guerrero vaults into the AL lead in RBIs

KANSAS CITY -- Vladimir Guerrero's five RBIs on Tuesday has shot him into the AL lead with 42 on the season. The 42 RBIs have come in 176 at-bats. He had 50 RBIs in 383 at-bats for the Angels last season.

Guerrero is also second in the league in hitting with a .347 batting average, fourth with 12 home runs and fourth with a .597 slugging percentage. He hit .295 with 15 home runs and a .460 slugging percentage last year while dealing with a knee injury.

"I really didn't have any expectations as far as numbers as much as health," Guerrero said. "I just wanted to get my knees ready to play every day. I'm more excited about that than the numbers."
