MIAMI -- Michael Young finally passed Ivan Rodriguez at the top of the Rangers' all-time hit chart.
Young delivered a two-run single to center in the eighth inning of the Rangers-Marlins game at Sun Life Stadium on Wednesday night. That was Young's 1,748th career hit, giving him one more than Rodriguez for the most in club history.
Young's double in the seventh inning snapped an 0-for-10 skid. Young was 0-for-3 against Marlins starter Anibal Sanchez before coming through with a double against reliever Jorge Sosa.
