Washington ejected for fourth time in '10

DETROIT -- Rangers manager Ron Washington was ejected in the fifth inning of Monday night's game with the Tigers at Comerica Park.

Washington was apparently ejected by home-plate umpire John Hirschbeck for arguing balls and strikes. It's the fourth time this season that Washington has been thrown out of a game.

The Rangers led 5-3 going into the bottom of the fifth with starter Scott Feldman facing Magglio Ordonez. Feldman's first two pitches were called balls and Hirschbeck started hearing too much protesting from the Rangers' dugout.

He started yelling in that direction, Washington jumped out of the dugout and began yelling back, and Hirschbeck quickly tossed him from the game. Washington left, but only after racing out and getting into Hirschbeck's face for a minute or two to finish the argument.

Feldman, on a 3-1 pitch, then gave up a home run to Ordonez. Miguel Cabrera followed that with his second home run of the night to tie the game.
