Rangers and Rockies rained out

SURPRISE, Ariz. -- Rain showers washed out the Rangers' game with the Colorado Rockies on Saturday afternoon at Surprise Stadium.

Kameron Loe was scheduled to pitch but instead threw 60 pitches in a simulated game in the indoor batting cages. The Rangers already had 'B' games set up for Sunday and Monday, so manager Buck Showalter said losing Saturday's game shouldn't set them back.

The showers ended a streak of 143 straight days without rain in the greater Phoenix area.

Coming up: Right-hander Francisco Cordero and left-hander C.J. Wilson are scheduled to pitch in a 'B' game against the Kansas City Royals at 11 a.m. CT Sunday. Both have been held back by injury and this will be their first appearance in any kind of game this spring.
