ARLINGTON -- The Rangers will open their 2011 Cactus League schedule with two home games against the Kansas City Royals on Feb. 27-28 at Surprise Stadium in Surprise, Ariz.

Three games with the Royals are part of the 31-game Cactus League schedule announced by the Rangers on Wednesday. The schedule includes 15 home games at Surprise Stadium and one game against the Royals on March 20 in which the Rangers are the away team.

In addition to the Royals, the Rangers will host each of the other 13 Cactus League teams once at Surprise Stadium, with the World Series-champion Giants scheduled to play there on March 13. The Rangers final home game will be March 26 against the Cubs.

All games begin at 1:05 p.m. MST except two night games. The Rangers will play the Rockies at 6:05 p.m. MST on March 16 and the Padres at 6:05 p.m. MST on March 24.

The Rangers will close the 2011 Spring Training schedule with exhibition games in the home parks of the team's two new Minor League affiliates. Texas will play Coastal Carolina University at BB&T Coastal Field, home of the class A Myrtle Beach Pelicans, at 5:35 p.m. CT on March 29.

The Rangers last exhibition game will be at 6:30 p.m. CT on March 30 against Triple-A Round Rock Express at the Dell Diamond in Round Rock.

The Rangers open the regular season on April 1 against the Red Sox at the Ballpark in Arlington.
