SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- The Rangers reassigned four players to the Minor Leagues on Friday.

Outfielders Doug Deeds and Endy Chavez, catcher Kevin Cash and infielder Esteban German have been sent to Triple-A Round Rock. They will remain with the Rangers for what is left of the camp but will begin the season with the Express.

The Rangers still have 34 players in camp. Four are pitchers who will start the season on the disabled list: Brandon Webb, Scott Feldman, Omar Beltre and Tommy Hunter.

Outfielder Craig Gentry is still in camp but remains sidelined with a sprained right shoulder. He took batting practice in the cages on Friday.

Webb threw long toss for 22 minutes on Friday from a distance of up to 200 feet. Webb said he felt good, and the Rangers are hoping he can resume throwing off a mound in the next couple of days.

The Rangers also traded Minor League infielder John Whittleman to the Royals for a player to be named later. He was the Rangers' second-round pick in the 2005 Draft.
