OAKLAND -- Rangers pitcher Neftali Feliz, on the disabled list with inflammation in his right shoulder, came out of Saturday's throwing session with no problems. Feliz, who threw 28 pitches in the bullpen, said he should be ready to come off the disabled list on Friday. "He feels he can pitch in a game right now," pitching coach Mike Maddux said. The plan is for Feliz to throw another bullpen session on Monday, and if that goes well, he could pitch an inning Wednesday at Double-A Frisco on a medical rehabilitation assignment.
"That's fine with me," Feliz said. "Right now, everything is good." Despite the loss of Feliz, Rangers relievers still have a 3.18 ERA over their past ten games. The Rangers are 16-0 when leading after the seventh and eighth innings. But they are 0-3 when the game is tied after the seventh and eighth innings.
