Texas Rangers announce schedule for 2017 summer camps and clinics

With spring break right around the corner and summer vacation not far behind for students, the Texas Rangers today announced scheduling details for the team's upcoming slate of summer Camps & Clinics.

The camps and clinics will take place at the Rangers' Youth Ballpark, which is located just north of Globe Life Park in Arlington on Nolan Ryan Expressway.

The schedule begins with Spring Break Camp on Monday, March 13 running through Friday, March 17. Spring Break Camp is designed for youngsters from 7 to 12 years old.

"Rangers camps are dedicated to enhancing a player's physical movements while also mentally challenging them to anticipate plays in all aspects of the game," Rangers Director of Youth Baseball Programs Homer Bush said. "While focusing on being good teammates, players will learn how to compete and what it means to be leaders on and off the field."

Several camps and clinics for all skill levels are scheduled for spring and summer 2017, allowing budding baseball players the opportunity to hone their skill. Players will have the opportunity to work with experienced coaching staff to gain information that can be implemented immediately.

Development camps are designed for athletes ages 9-12 and target baseball methods and mechanics to improve mental and physical fundamentals.

Skills camps are offered for baseball players ages 7-12 and provide instruction, practice, and development in all aspects of the game.

Rookie Ball Camps allow youngsters ages 5-6 the opportunity to become familiar with the fundamentals of the game, including hitting, fielding, throwing, and base running.
