ARLINGTON -- The Rangers officially announced their post-season roster Friday morning, with Scott Feldman in the bullpen, Matt Treanor as the third catcher and Esteban German as the utility infielder.
Feldman will be the long reliever in a bullpen that includes closer Neftali Feliz, right-handed setup relievers Mike Adams and Koji Uehara and left-handers Michael Gonzalez and Darren Oliver. Starter Alexi Ogando is also being moved to the bullpen for the first round against the Ray.
The Rangers added Treanor instead of an extra reliever because it allows manager Ron Washington to be more comfortable using his other two catchers -- Mike Napoli and Yorvit Torrealba -- in the same lineup. Both could start Game 1 on Friday against Rays left-hander Matt Moore.
German was added because utility infielder Andres Blanco is still dealing with a stress fracture in his lower back. Michael Young will likely be the Rangers' backup shortstop in case something happens to Elvis Andrus.
