Washington gets ejected on 60th birthday
ARLINGTON -- Rangers manager Ron Washington celebrated his 60th birthday by getting ejected from Sunday's game with the Rays in the seventh inning.

Washington was ejected by home-plate umpire Dan Bellino for arguing balls and strikes. The incident occurred after Ian Kinsler took a called third strike on a full-count pitch from reliever Joel Peralta to end the inning. Kinsler started arguing with Bellino and Washington went out to protect him.

Washington ended up getting ejected for the first time this season and 13th time as manager of the Rangers. Washington had received a standing ovation from a crowd of 53,475 earlier in the game when the Rangers acknowledged his 60th birthday on the right-field scoreboard.
