ARLINGTON -- Josh Hamilton was back in the lineup on Sunday even though he is still experiencing the effects of a head cold. The problem has persisted for the past few days, but it didn't keep Hamilton from hitting a walk-off home run in the 13th inning of the Rangers' 8-7 victory over the Blue Jays on Saturday.
"I feel halfway decent, until you start running around," Hamilton said. "I feel the same way I felt before the game yesterday. I'm taking everything you can take, that's legal, of course. I'm loaded up. It's the chest up that doesn't come around until I start running around. Then I start coughing."
Hamilton was also bracing for another game with temperatures pushing into the 90s.
"If you're healthy, then you don't think about it," Hamilton said. "It hadn't got hot enough to affect you yet. And we've got plenty of ways in the dugout to help us. We've got cooling towels and air-conditioning underneath that help us."
Mike Napoli was also back in the lineup after missing two games with an upset stomach. But he was able to play the final four innings on Saturday afternoon after entering the game as a pinch-hitter.
