ANAHEIM -- The Rangers are expecting hitting coach Rudy Jaramillo back on the job on Monday when they return for a six-game homestand beginning with the Mariners. Jaramillo informed the club earlier this weekend that he is ready to come back.
Jaramillo has been absent since the All-Star break after undergoing knee replacement surgery. The knee had been bothering Jaramillo since Spring Training and he was unable to hold off having surgery until the end of the season.
Triple-A hitting coach Mike Boulanger has been filling on for Jaramillo, assisted by special assistant Johnny Narron.
