ARLINGTON -- Rangers infielder Mike Olt is expected to be back in the lineup on Monday with left-hander David Price on the mound for the Rays. Olt has been dealing with a bout of plantar fasciitis in his right heel, but manager Ron Washington said he should be good to go on Monday.
"It was pretty bad but it's a lot better than it was a couple of days ago," Olt said. "When I wake up, it's easier to walk on."
Olt is 4-for-22 since being called up from Double-A Round Rock, including 3-for-11 off of left-handers. He was not in the lineup on Saturday when the Rangers faced left-hander Brian Duensing. But Washington said that was because he wanted to give Mitch Moreland a chance to face a left-hander and not because Olt is limited by the inflammation in his heel.
