ARLINGTON -- Rangers infielder Mike Olt, who has been sidelined for two weeks with inflammation in his right heel, said he is ready to play in a game. But manager Ron Washington said he's still waiting for clearance from the medical staff. "It feels good," said Olt, who has been running without significant problems for the past few days. "It's definitely a lot better than it was." There is still some question if Olt will be ready for the postseason. He has had just seven at-bats in September, and has just one hit in his last 17 at-bats going back to Aug. 17. With the Minor League season over, the only place Olt could get at-bats before the playoffs would be in the instructional league.
"When we decide he's ready, we'll cross that bridge," Washington said.
