SEATTLE -- Triple-A shortstop Jurickson Profar was scratched from Thursday's game against Iowa with some soreness in his left side. Profar was not in the lineup for Round Rock on Friday against New Orleans, but will be re-evaluated on Saturday.
Profar felt some soreness during batting practice and was removed from the lineup as a precautionary measure. He is not expected to miss significant time.
Profar is 6-for-24 (.250) with a double in his first seven games for Round Rock, but also has eight walks and three stolen bases. He is doing much better than Mike Olt, who is 3-for-31 with 14 strikeouts.
