Texas Rangers option outfielder Engel Beltre to Round Rock

Arlington, Texas -- The Texas Rangers today announced that the club has optioned outfielder Engel Beltre to Triple-A Round Rock.

The moves makes room on the active roster for infielder Adam Rosales, who was received on a waiver claim from the Oakland A's earlier today.

Beltre batted .300 (9-30) with 2 RBI in 13 games/8 starts for Texas since being recalled from Round Rock on June 23. He started 5 games in center and 3 games in left in his first major league action.

With the move, the Rangers remain at the 40-player limit on their major league roster.
