Rangers Evening with a Legend to feature Michael Young on Friday, April 11

The Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation's first Evening with a Legend event in 2014 will feature Michael Young on Friday, April 11 at Globe Life Park in Arlington.

Presented by Capital One Bank, the Evening with a Legend Series begins its second season with the Rangers' all-time leader in games, at bats, runs, hits, doubles, triples, and total bases. Young saw extensive action at all four infield positions during his 12+ seasons in a Texas uniform from 2000-12. He was a five-time Rangers Player of the Year selection and was selected to play in seven All-Star Games. Young batted over .300 seven times and posted 200+ hits on six occasions while finishing his career with a .300 average in 1,970 games. He split his final season in 2013 with the Phillies and Dodgers before announcing his retirement as a Ranger on January 31, 2014.

Couples attending the event will pose for photographs and receive an autographed baseball from Young as well as a Rangers Goody Bag. There will be an exclusive question and answer session as well as other special features. Guests will also be treated to a three-course meal from Delaware North Company and receive a pair of tickets to that night's Rangers-Houston Astros Lone Star Series matchup.

An Evening with a Legend is priced at $500.00 per couple and space is limited. The event will begin at 5:00 p.m. in the Texas Rangers Hall of Fame at Globe Life Park in Arlington with the Rangers-Astros game at 7:05 p.m.

Net proceeds will benefit the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation. For tickets and more information on An Evening with a Legend, please go to texasrangers.com/foundation or call 817-622-7883.
