ANAHEIM -- Shin-Soo Choo played left field for the first time since spraining his left ankle on April 21 in Oakland. The night was not a complete success.

Choo, after going 3-for-4 with a home run, had to leave the game in the bottom of the seventh with more soreness in the ankle. The Rangers don't think it is serious, but aren't sure if Choo will be able to play on Saturday.

"I can't say 100 percent, but I'm confident I will play," Choo said.

Choo felt the ankle running the bases after a seventh-inning RBI single in the top of the seventh. Daniel Robertson replaced him on defense in the bottom of the inning.

"I didn't feel comfortable," Choo said. "I didn't want to make it worse. It's not bad but I wasn't comfortable."

Choo missed six games after spraining the ankle in Oakland. He played on Tuesday and Wednesday but was used at designated hitter.
