ARLINGTON -- The Rangers have announced their 2010 ticket prices, which include increases in only two categories. That represents just 16 percent of their total seats at the Ballpark in Arlington. It is the smallest percentage of seats increased since 2004. The Rangers did not increase any prices after the 2003 season. Individual game tickets will go on sale March 6. The only increases for non-premier games are in Corner Box Seats, which go from $33 to $40, and in Lower Reserved, which increase from $25 to $30.
The Rangers, because of the current economic climate, are again offering a significant number of individual game ticket discounts this year. Last year, they added Total Family Tickets, All You Can Eat Seats, and Fireworks Fridays. This season they are adding the Opening Week Discount, Military Mondays and Active Seniors Thursdays. The Rangers have a ticket discount for every weekday in 2010. The Rangers will have 14 fireworks shows and 18 giveaway promotions. There will also be seven pre- or postgame concerts for 2010. The opening homestand features a postgame performance by legendary country singer Clint Black on Saturday, April 10, the first of seven concerts. The Opening Week Special calls for tickets regularly priced up to $25 to be available for only only $10 for the final five games of the season's first homestand, April 7-8 with Toronto and April 9-11 with Seattle. The Rangers are also offering a $5 exhibition discount for the team's Spring Training game with Kansas City on Friday, April 2 at the Ballpark in Arlington. Tickets regularly priced up to $30 can be purchased for just $5 for that game. All parking will also be just $5. The Rangers will have 19 Premier Games on the home schedule: April 5 (Opening Day vs. Blue Jays), May 21-23 (Cubs), June 5 (Rays), June 25-26 (Astros), July 3-4 (White Sox), July 10 (Orioles), July 24 (Angels), Aug. 10-11 (Yankees), Aug. 13-15 (Red Sox) and Sept. 10-12 (Yankees). Total Family Tickets include 4 tickets, 4 jumbo hot dogs, 4 Coke drinks, one general parking pass, and $20 in Sports Park tokens. Each pack provides savings of 50% off retail price. Packages are priced at $60 for Upper Reserved; $80 for Lower Reserved; and $100 for Corner Box. Total Family Tickets are available for all games except April 5, May 21-23, July 4; August 10-15; and September 10-12 (Opening Day, July 4, Cubs, Red Sox, Yankees). The All You Can Eat Seats in the Upper Home Run Porch are available for every home game again in 2010. All You Can Eat Seats are priced at $34 and $39 for Premier Games. All You Can Eat tickets include grilled chicken sandwiches, hot dogs, nachos, peanuts, popcorn, and soft drinks served in the air-conditioned Upper Home Run Porch Grill. Regular home game times in 2010 will be 7:05 p.m. CT for night games; 1:05 p.m. for weekday day games; and 2:05 p.m. for Sunday day games except May 23 (1:05 p.m.); June 27 (7:05 p.m.); July 4 (7:05 p.m.); and July 25 (7:05 p.m.). The other exceptions are Saturday, April 10 (2:10 p.m. for FOX telecast) and Saturday, May 22 (6:10 p.m. for FOX telecast).
