Chirinos safe at second after originally ruled out on attempted double in third

BALTIMORE -- Rangers catcher Robinson Chirinos picked up a double in the third inning on Monday after manager Ron Washington was successful in challenging the out call at second base against the Orioles at Camden Yards.
Chirinos, facing Orioles starter Ubaldo Jimenez, led off the inning by lining a hit into the right-center gap that Adam Jones was able to cut off. Chirinos tried for second and was originally called out by second-base umpire Toby Basner. But Washington challenged it and the call was overturned.
