The Rangers are limited to approximately $2 million in spending but can not spend more than $250,000 on any one player.
"We were aware when we did what we did last year that we would have limits," Rangers assistant general manager Thad Levine said. "We planned for that so we challenged our scouts to find players with different price points. We are encouraged by what they have done. They have put us in position to sign some attractive players."
