ARLINGTON -- Rangers manager Ron Washington unsuccessfully challenged a play in the sixth inning of the Rangers-Astros matchup.

The original ruling was that Carlos Corporan's double to left field was fair, as it scored Jon Singleton and Chris Carter, who had both singled earlier in the inning.

Washington challenged it, suggesting that maybe Corporan's ball was foul, but the original ruling was confirmed. The Astros went up 6-4 as a result.
