CLEVELAND -- The Rangers went into Thursday's game undecided if closer Neftali Feliz was available out of the bullpen. Feliz threw 18 pitches in Wednesday's 6-2 victory over the Indians while facing five batters over 1 1/3 innings. Feliz, going into Thursday, had yet to pitch in back-to-back games as a reliever going back to last season when he was called up on Aug. 2. At some point, Feliz will likely get that chance. "No, it's not a concern," manager Ron Washington said. "If an opportunity presents itself, we'll find out how he handles it. He hasn't had that stress yet."
As far as using him for more than one inning, Washington said, "I have no problem with the way I used him [Wednesday] night, getting me one out in the eighth. As far as the future, we've got to wait and see what situation presents itself. "I don't think I'll use him for two innings. This is new for him. Last night, the best part of their lineup was coming up. We had to stop that."
