Feldman's start pushed back

ARLINGTON -- Rangers right-hander Scott Feldman was scratched from Friday's start against Detroit because of a stomach virus. Right-hander Rich Harden started in his place.

Feldman, who has been battling the virus for the past couple of days, will instead start in Harden's slot on Saturday.

"We just decided to give Feldman a day," Rangers manager Ron Washington said. "Feldman said he could take the ball today, but we're going to give him an extra 24 hours."

Harden, who is 0-1 with a 4.73 ERA in his first three starts, pitched on his regular four days' rest because the team did have an off day on Monday.
